WoW: Forever launches today. Here’s when Azeroth opens.

World of Warcraft: Forever is scheduled to launch globally today, November 4, at 3 p.m. Pacific, 5 p.m. Central and 6 p.m. Eastern. Access is included with a WoW subscription or Game Time. For returning groups, the immediate decision is which ruleset to join together.
One global launch, two calendar dates
Blizzard lists one worldwide opening at 23:00 UTC. That puts the start at 11 p.m. Wednesday in the UK and midnight Thursday in Central Europe. Players in Sydney reach the same moment at 10 a.m. Thursday. For a group spread across regions, agree on the shared instant rather than assuming everyone’s “launch day” means the same local date.
Those are the announced opening times. Successful logins, queues and server conditions will need a separate check once the launch begins.

A fresh journey through original Azeroth
Forever is Blizzard’s continuing take on the original world, alongside modern and Classic WoW. The journey runs through the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor to level 60, with new regions and more than a thousand new quests. Blizzard’s panel recap also preserves deliberate Classic constraints, including no flying mounts and no level scaling.
That makes the first evening a different proposition from rushing into a familiar endgame routine. A group can plan around meeting, exploring and establishing its characters before it knows which detours will become part of the regular session. The world, rather than the raid calendar alone, is the starting point.
Pick the ruleset with your group
Forever begins with a ruleset choice in place of the traditional realm-selection screen. Blizzard lists Normal, PvP, Roleplay and Roleplay PvP. Hardcore is planned for sometime after launch.
For friends arriving together, settle that choice before creating characters. The presentation preset is a separate decision: Classic and Enhanced set initial visual and interface preferences, and Blizzard says their individual settings can be changed later. Choose the group’s gameplay environment deliberately, then tune the presentation to suit each player.

The first raids arrive on December 9
Blizzard dates Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia’s Lair for December 9. They target level 60 groups of 10, 20 and 40 players respectively. Onyxia’s Lair also requires each participant to earn the Drakefire Amulet through an attunement questline.
That is useful separation for a returning guild. Launch begins the leveling and preparation period; the first raid opening is a later milestone. There is time to discover what size of group you can regularly gather before committing everyone to a raid plan.
Check access before buying an upgrade
A subscription or Game Time covers entry to Forever. Blizzard’s upgrade packs add their listed benefits; the basic launch-access requirement is already met for an account with the necessary subscription or time. Some packs include access to the Skyborne race and other extras, so compare the specific benefit you want before choosing one.
For today, confirm your account access, agree on a ruleset and put the correct local opening time in the group chat. Check Blizzard’s current notices when the launch begins. This article will be updated after the scheduled opening to distinguish the announced timetable from verified availability.
