The Wire is publishing: how we review, correct, and disclose

Reviews

A review carries a number only when an editor has completed a test log. Every scored review states three things on the page: how long the product was used, how the unit was obtained (retail purchase, manufacturer loan, or review sample), and what we tested it against. If a review has no number, the reason is printed where the number would be.

Reviews adapted from the pre-2022 GamerzParadise archive are labelled as such and carry no score until the product is re-tested. There are three of those on the site today.

Corrections

Substantive changes are published. Each article has an update log listing what changed and when, and only substantive revisions move the modified date. A typo fix does not get to make an article look fresh.

Commercial relationships

GamerzParadise sells hardware and earns affiliate commission. That is disclosed on the link, in the reader's line of sight, every time. Editorial judgement is not for sale: a product's commercial relationship with us has no bearing on whether it gets recommended, and a sponsored placement is labelled as a sponsored placement.
