Pokopia’s Halloween event starts before the candy hunt

The town, move and multiplayer conditions that matter before you start collecting pumpkin candy.

Pumpkaboo needs more than the right date. Nintendo requires a rebuilt Pokémon Center, a completed town important request and Camouflage learned from Zorua in Bleak Beach. Cloud Islands and Bubbly Basin are excluded. 1

The invitation is tied to your progress

Nintendo specifies version 2.0.1, the real-world system date and an internet-connected first launch. Qualifying mid-event requires changing towns once or using Save & Quit. Check these before assuming the festival has ended. 1

Candy leads to a habitat

The Pokémon Company describes befriending Pumpkaboo near a rebuilt Center, then gathering pumpkin candy through surprises while disguised as objects. Exchanged decorations feed into creating a habitat for Gourgeist. The useful planning question is therefore what you want to build, rather than how much candy another player says is enough. We have not verified an optimal route, item budget or collection time. 2

Meet in Palette Town

Link Play uses Palette Town. Speak to Pumpkaboo before starting multiplayer; Spectator Mode is excluded. Agree on the meeting place before inviting friends. 1

Treat the early cutoff as the deadline

The window ends November 1 at 4:59 a.m. local time. Nintendo also says qualifying on November 1 can trigger the event, without resolving that apparent conflict. Do not rely on later entry that day. Recheck the notice before planning around it. 1 2

Plan the invitation before the candy route. A short progress check can make the difference between arranging a festival visit and arranging a session your save cannot yet enter.
