A ship beneath a ringed planet, in official Forsaken imagery.
Forsaken gives No Man's Sky players two distinct reasons to visit deep-space outposts: trading haunting mementos for ship parts, and taking package courier missions. For the latter, Hello Games' 7.10 notes require a corvette and a Gravitino Coil. Do not assume that collecting mementos alone equips you for delivery work.
Collect curios for the ship you want to build
Sean Murray's October 28 announcement describes biological samples hidden around deep-space hulks and infested outposts. Forsaken traders exchange these mementos for biomechanical corvette modules, letting players alter an existing ship or build around the new look.
That is a collection-and-customisation objective. Before starting a session, decide whether you are pursuing a particular visual component or simply exploring the new salvage spaces. The announcement does not support a claim that one route is the fastest way to earn currency.

The collection loop has a hazard
The detailed notes also name derelict freighters and planetary digsites as memento locations. Prolonged exposure can attract hostile boundary horrors; forsaken traders can be summoned at space outposts.
This makes the activity more than an inventory cleanup exercise. We are not supplying spawn coordinates, safe exposure times, drop rates or a tested farming route. Those missing details matter to anyone planning an efficient run, and promotional screenshots cannot fill them in.
Delivery work starts with your equipment
Courier contracts come from deep-space outposts, but the patch notes attach them to ownership of a corvette and a Gravitino Coil. The same update improves scavenging guidance and lets players pin deep-space materials in the catalogue.
If your goal is deliveries, check those prerequisites before heading out to collect the new curios. The notes treat package missions and memento trading as separate systems. They do not state that handing over mementos completes a delivery contract or that courier rewards are the quickest way to acquire the new modules.

Match the reward to the activity
The launch feature separately highlights a larva tank helmet and a Larva Cannon Multi-Tool, with preserved grubs used to purchase the latter. It also calls out new corvette cockpits, a minimal HUD and a radial weapon selector.
The useful starting point is your intended outcome: a ship build, a cosmetic, a Multi-Tool or a delivery session. A feature list is not a guaranteed reward schedule. Check the in-game requirement for the item you want instead of treating every new activity as interchangeable progress toward it.
