The Zephyrus G15 is ASUS's attempt at a 15-inch gaming laptop you would actually carry, and it is the model that made the category credible: a slim chassis, a high-refresh panel, and enough cooling to sustain a mid-tier GPU rather than boost and throttle.
It is the right laptop if portability is a hard requirement and you accept that a thicker machine at the same price will be faster. It is the wrong laptop if it will live on a desk, where the thicker ROG Strix line gives you more performance per dollar.
